COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

We work across different programmes related to the multiple scales of the human habitat and engage in international projects via multiple lines of research, including innovative design, distributed manufacturing, and productive cities.

The job position of Communications Officer requires a technical profile that is able to:

  • Implement communication strategies 
  • Create compelling and engaging content
  • Manage the website, the blog, update social media channels and send newsletters 
  • Help with the organisation and execution of audiovisual shootings and different events 
  • Regularly report the communication results and activities engagement to the management team

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 

You have:

  • A flair for writing and enjoy developing long-form content including blog posts, newsletters and audiovisual scripts
  • Proficiency level in MS Office, Google Applications, WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, Trello/Toogl, or equivalent scheduling/CMS/editorial calendar and publishing tools
  • Experience with Social Media across Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and beyond 
  • Excellent presentation skills, both oral and writing
  • A DIY positive attitude and strong teamwork ethics 
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and topics with an eye for detail

You are:

  • Based in Barcelona, able to work in-person at IAAC
  • Extremely organised, self-starter and proactive 
  • Highly motivated and reliable 
  • Willing to grow with us, committing to 2/3+ years
  • Interested in technology, digital transformation and innovation 

Specific Requirements: 

  • A working permit for Spain
  • Bachelor in Marketing, Journalism, Arts or related field
  • Native fluent in English: mother tongue or equivalent proficiency C2 level
  • Spanish is highly recommended
  • Catalan is a plus + other languages are a bonus
  • Interest and/or knowledge of the field of innovation and science communications

Desired requirements: 

  • Professional Tik Tok experience
  • Knowledge of EU projects: Creative Europe, Erasmus+, Horizon 2020
  • Adobe Suite graphic design, photography and video editing skills will be valuable

CONTRACT DETAILS 

  • Full time position: 40h week
  • Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend event
  • Based in Barcelona in-person: this is not a remote position
  • Date of start: January 2023
  • Gross Salary: 22,000 per annum

DEADLINES
