Territorios Productivos is an initiative that promotes the activation of local networks through intergenerational co-creation practices, fostering living culture and territorial memory across Spain. Inspired by models of collaborative productive spaces, the project connects cultural agents, local production spaces, citizens, and institutions in six autonomous communities in Spain to develop situated participatory interventions. Through artistic residencies in Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia, the Community of Madrid, Castile and León, and Extremadura, it promotes local production as a tool for social cohesion, inclusion, and the strengthening of intangible cultural heritage.
Despite the rich cultural diversity across territories, many expressions remain disconnected, underrepresented, or fragmented. There is an intergenerational gap in cultural processes, as well as weak coordination between cultural agents, artists, makers, institutional spaces, and local communities.
Territorios Productivos activates local networks through artistic residencies, open calls, and participatory diagnostic processes. Through active listening, it transforms territorial challenges into situated cultural interventions that connect memory, identity, and contemporary creation.
The project incorporates technological tools to support co-creation and facilitates collaboration among diverse stakeholders, generating sustainable cultural dynamics adaptable to different contexts.

Grants for cultural projects with special social impact – 2025 Call
Territorios Productivos is a distributed project that promotes cultural production through a territorial, participatory, and intergenerational approach. The project is developed in six local contexts, working alongside networks of cultural, artistic, social, and community agents to activate creative processes linked to memory and identity.
The project combines mapping and stakeholder articulation, public activation through open calls and events, and the development of artistic residencies in each territory. These residencies foster collaboration between artists and local communities, generating situated cultural outcomes open to the public.
The project, which will take place between January and December 2026, will culminate in exhibitions, a digital publication, and dissemination actions that gather its learnings and results, consolidating a network of connected productive spaces and strengthening their future projection.
Fab Lab Barcelona plays a central role in project coordination, methodological design, and cross-territorial support for the participating regions. Our contribution is focused on ensuring the coherence, quality, and impact of the project through various lines of action.
It actively participates in the conceptualization and overall planning of the project, contributing to the design of its methodological, curatorial, and strategic approach. It also supports implementation across territories by directly assisting in the organization of workshops and artistic residencies, ensuring the integration of co-creation practices, innovation, and local production.
In addition to providing territorial partners with key materials and tools for project development, it fosters connections between artists and territories, facilitating exchanges, hybrid meetings, and shared learning spaces among the different nodes of the project.
