SPML Machine

Description

The SPML (Simple Personal Mini Lab or Six Pack Mobile Lab) Machine is an open-source, portable machine that has been designed, developed and manufactured by the Fab Lab Barcelona to bring the Fab Lab to the home. It is a 3 axis multitool machine with an exterior footprint of 150x150x200 (almost the size of a six-pack) that can be manufactured in a Fab Lab and costs around €60 produce. Its inception was borne from the need for Fab Academy students to work on their assignments during the COVID-19 confinement during March-June 2020 and are inspired by the mini CNC machines that are built from recycled DVD players.
