This September, the Distributed Design Platform and its members will host a conference-themed Open Design at the Vienna Design Week. We invite you to a day full of conversations and workshops that challenge the current design and production paradigms. Together, we will explore themes such as open source, collaborative practice, grassroots and communal approaches, regenerative design, and how creative activism can be a powerful tool to disrupt the status quo.
We have exciting speakers from around the globe, talks hosted by Platform members, and more than ten workshops hosted by community members. Participation in the conference and workshops is 100% free!
As part of this collaboration with the Vienna Design Week, we will also host a collaboratively developed exhibition space at the Festival Headquarters at the Village im Dritten. The Vienna Design Week is a nomadic festival that utilizes spaces designated for deconstruction and teardown. On this special occasion, we will have the opportunity to use the spaces of Village im Dritten before new tenants occupy them.
