We would like to invite you to Myths of Tomorrow, the final show and festival of the MDEF Class of 2026 at Elisava.
In a world of uncertainty, we believe and disbelieve in fire-breathing monsters, in financial markets, in each other. Myths of Tomorrow is a time-travelling portal for negotiation, enchantment, and the occasional truth.
Across four themes:
Beyond Flesh and Bones (Monsters & Enchantment & Bodies)
→ visceral and imperceptible explorations of what a body can be
The Breath of Many Beings (Nature & Species)
→ sensory immersions into ecosystems, species and data as empathy
Still Under Construction (Infrastructures & Home)
→ All structure (physical, emotional, and conceptual) must remain mutable and adaptive, embracing incompleteness as a strength rather than a flaw.
The Hand that Built Each Other (Local Matter)
→ Making is a relational act, where matter, energy, and community are inseparable, and true fabrication means building with and for the forces and beings that shape us in return.
The class of 2026 presents blueprints of objects, non-objects, practices, performances and immersions drawn from the future into the present.
