Guillem Camprodon explores emergent technologies and community collaboration as Executive Director of Fab Lab Barcelona at IAAC. Over the past decade, he has been pivotal in evolving it from a digital fabrication facility into a leading research and innovation laboratory at the heart of the global Fab Lab network and the Distributed Design Platform. As co-director of the Master on Design for Emergent Futures (MDEF), a partnership between IAAC and ELISAVA, he pushes the boundaries of what design can do. Previously, he co-developed Smart Citizen, a groundbreaking initiative democratizing access to environmental data and challenging traditional Smart City paradigms. His extensive contributions to European research and innovation projects underscore his dedication to open, community-driven approaches to technology and design.
