The Festival Rellisquín is an audiovisual exhibition about the relationship between the city and its neighbours organised by the local entities of Poblenou: Taula Eix Pere IV, Film Club, Produccions La Llacuna, Teleduca Educació y Comunicació and La Selva – Ecosistema Creatiu.
In this special edition, there will be a screening of two selected short films from the 2022 Rellisquin Festival Edition, ‘Maldita: A Love Song to Sarajevo’ and LOOP, both winners of the Goya Awards. The collective documentary En Transición: El Poblenou, produced by NOW Poblenou and the Cultural Association Els Fumats (FMTs) will also be presented. The documentary portrays the consequences of the gentrification process in Poblenou and the reclaiming of community spaces by local residents.
In October 2023, the Rellisquín Festival will celebrate its third edition in a format distributed throughout different spaces in the Poblenou neighbourhood. With a focus on audiovisual projects as a tool of struggle, the festival seeks works that talk about life in cities, exploring themes such as social struggles, the preservation of historical memory, urban transformations and changes, among other experiences of the neighbourhood community with its environment.
